Hello friend and hope all is well!
What a wild ride it’s been—literally! In the past few weeks, two uninvited “guests” decided to crash our party, making themselves at home with full hurricane-force gusto. Helene and her tag-along companion Milton stormed through Tampa, leaving Ana and myself (and millions more) with quite the cleanup—including 2 feet of water in our newly purchased home and a powerful reminder of what truly matters.
Lessons from Window Treatment Experts in a Storm
Between the flooding, construction chaos, and the loss of some prized possessions, it’s been quite the rollercoaster. And just when we thought we were settling into our dream home… talk about an unexpected housewarming gift!
But here’s the thing about window treatment experts – we know all about handling the unexpected. Just like how the right shutters can transform harsh glare into beautiful, filtered light, we’re transforming these challenges into opportunities for gratitude and growth.
Yes, we lost power and internet for a combined 10 days. Yes, some of our belongings are now swimming with the fishes. But you know what remained intact? Our spirit and our smile.
After all, we’re in the business of making homes beautiful, and sometimes life gives us a chance to practice what we preach – finding beauty in imperfection and light in darker moments.
I must take a moment to celebrate our incredible team in both Boston and Tampa. While I was busy playing lifeguard in my living room, they stepped up magnificently to serve you, our wonderful clients. They were truly the calm in the storm!
Their dedication has been nothing short of inspiring, and I’m profoundly grateful to have them—and clients like you—by our side.
However, we know that in the chaos, we might have missed some of your requests. If you sent us a message and haven’t heard back, please don’t hesitate to reach out again. We’re back at full power now (literally and figuratively), and we’re eager to help.
As always, we’re choosing to see the sunny side. Just like blackout shades, sometimes life throws challenges that temporarily dim the lights. But once the storm passes, the view becomes clearer and brighter than ever.
Thank you for your patience, kindness, and unwavering support through this wild chapter. We’re here, stronger and smiling (most days)—ready to bring a little light (and a lot less water) into your homes!
Warmly,
Roger Magalhaes
P.S. I – If there’s one thing these hurricanes taught us, it’s that our weather-resistant outdoor shutters really do work! Maybe Mother Nature was just helping us with product testing?
